Introduction

Bookmark Tag Manager Pro ("the Extension") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data the Extension accesses and how it is handled.

Data We Collect

The Extension's core bookmark management features operate locally in your browser. Bookmark data, tags, notes, saved searches, and settings are stored using Chrome's built-in storage APIs.

Data the Extension Accesses

• Bookmarks: The Extension reads and organizes your Chrome bookmarks via the Chrome Bookmarks API. Bookmark titles, URLs, tags, notes, and saved searches are stored locally unless you explicitly use an optional online feature described below.
• Local Storage: Tags, settings, metadata, the local device identifier, and your Gemini API key if provided are stored in chrome.storage.local on your device.
• Sync Storage: License information for Pro users is stored in chrome.storage.sync.

External Services

The Extension does not use advertising networks or cross-site tracking.

• Pro license verification: Contacts peakproductivity.online to activate or validate a Pro license. This transmits license and device information, not your bookmark collection. If you buy or activate Peak Productivity Pro, the device identifier may be linked to your purchase email or Stripe customer ID so the bundle can unlock on this browser profile.
• Product analytics: Sends limited events such as install, feature use, paywall view, plan selection, checkout start, and uninstall to peakproductivity.online. These events use a random device identifier and are used to operate and improve the product.
• Optional AI auto-tagging: If you provide a Gemini API key and explicitly run AI auto-tagging, the Extension sends the selected bookmark titles and URLs to Google's Gemini API to generate tag suggestions. This feature is off by default and only runs when you trigger it.

Data Sharing

We do not sell your data or share it for advertising. Data is transmitted only for product analytics, Pro license verification, checkout attribution, PP Pro bundle activation, or when you explicitly invoke optional AI auto-tagging.

Data Retention

Bookmark data, tags, notes, saved searches, and settings are stored locally on your device. Product analytics and license records are retained on PeakProductivity systems only as needed to operate the service and verify purchases. Uninstalling the Extension removes locally stored extension data. You can export your tags and settings before uninstalling.

Your Rights

You can export, modify, or delete local bookmark metadata through the Extension's options page. To request deletion of license or product analytics records, contact support.

Chrome Web Store User Data Policy

Bookmark Tag Manager Pro's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Children's Privacy

The Extension does not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
